Ironwood is a 2017 English-language Comedy Drama film. This debut feature follows two friends and aspiring academics (Aaron Moten and Cameron Scoggins) as they attempt to land a university teaching job. In their quest to impress a faculty member (Kathleen Wise), they all go camping in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. There they discover some harsh truths about themselves, academia, race, and the complexity of true friendship.
