Jueh doi shuen giu stars Andy Lau in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Brigitte Lin, Man Cheung, Kuo-chu Chang, Hon-chiu Chow, Hiu-hung Fong and Hark-on Fung. The screenplay is written by Stanley Wu and Cheuk Hon which is inspired from Juedai Shuangjiao by Gu Long. The music was composed by Lowell Lo along with Sherman Chow. Cinematography was done by Jingle Ma, Ray Wong, Peter Ngor, Joe Chan, Ardy Lam and Poon Hang-sang and editing by Kwong Chi-leung and Kam Ma. The motion picture has a running time of 102 minutes. It was released on 12th November 1992. The motion picture made a box office gross of $30 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Newport Entertainment Ltd.
