Lupin the 3rd: The Castle of Cagliostro: Special Edition is a 1979 English-language motion picture directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Tetsuo Katayama under the banner of Tokyo Movie Shinsha. A dashing thief, his gang of desperadoes and an intrepid policeman struggle to free a princess from an evil count's clutches, and learn the hidden secret to a fabulous treasure that she holds part of a key to. Lupin the 3rd: the castle of cagliostro: special edition stars Yasuo Yamada in the title role along with Eiko Masuyama, Kiyoshi Kobayashi, Makio Inoue, Goro Naya, Sumi Shimamoto and Tar Ishida in supporting roles.
