Mausam is a 1975 Hindi-language Musical Romance motion picture written by Gulzar Kalra, Bhushan Banmali and Kamleshwar Prasad Saxena. The movie is directed by Gulzar Kalra and produced by P. Mallikharjuna Rao. A medical student, Amarnath meets and falls in love with the daughter of a herbal medicine healer, Chanda while preparing for his exams in Darjeeling.. Mausam features Sharmila Tagore, Sanjeev Kumar, Dina Pathak, Om Shivpuri, Satyen Kappu, C.s.dubey and Saif Ali Khan. The movie is based on The Judas Tree by A.J. Cronin kamleshwar aagami atit upnyas. The music was composed by Madan Mohan Kohli along with Madan Mohan and Salil Chowdhury. Cinematography was done by K. Vaikunth and editing by Waman B. Bhosle and Gurudutt Shirali. The motion picture has a running time of 156 minutes. It was released on 29th December 1975. Mausam was made on a budget of ₹49 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹31 crore. At the 1976 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Actress (Sharmila Tagore).
