Plenty of great films have toed the line between fantasy and horror.
One doesnt come to a movie of this sort expecting anybodys best work. Or at least one certainly shouldnt, because it wont materialize.
The gags this time feel somehow both more throwaway and more inventive.
Its kind of fun, unembarrassingly, and not least of all because the people who made it look like they had a good time doing so.
Surprisingly well crafted for something as aggressively dumb as this, the real surprise is the cast.
But overall theres not enough to make Secret of the Tomb worth seeing unless youre a diehard fan of the first two.
