Perfect Rivals is a 2011 Mandarin-language Comedy Romance motion picture written by Han Yew Kwang and Ting Soo Yun. The movie is directed by Han Yew Kwang and produced by Lim Soo Ann and Au Yuk Sing. Perfect rivals stars Ha Yu, Irene Ang, Mindee Ong, Josh Lai, Stanly Hsu, Pamelyn Chee and Michelle Yim. Cinematography was done by Long Fei Liu and editing by Grace Xiao. The motion picture has a running time of 95 minutes. It was released on 17th March 2011. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Golden Village Pictures. Based upon an urban legend of 2 rivalling bak kwa shops, "Hao Han Bak Kwa" and "Mei Mei Bak Kwa". The founders of these two stores however, Zeng Mei Mei (Irene Ang) and Chen Hao (Ha Yu), used to be lovers, yet, turned against each other for their own personal, selfish reasons. While the two engage in a battle to win a bak kwa competition, their children get engulfed in a complex relationship with one another... And there begins the story of the bak kwa war!
