Raja Harishchandra is a 1952 hindi-language History motion picture directed by Dadasaheb Phalke and produced by Dadasaheb Phalke under the banner of Phalke Films Company. Raja Harishchandra is a great king of Ayodhya. He is staunch follower of Satya Dharma. He adheres to path of truth no matter what. His strength to abide by truth is put to test by great Rishi Vishwamitra. He is destined to lose everything, including his kingdom, wife, child, even his independence.
