Ratchakan is a 1997 Tamil-language Action Romance motion picture written by Crazy Mohan and directed by Praveen Gandhi and produced by K. T. Kunjumon and Francis Joseph under the banner of Kunjumon Studios. Ajay, a short tempered young man falls in love with soniya daughter of a bigshot. Things take a turn for the worse when soniya's father puts a condition that Ajay has to control his temper for 3 months while working in his company. Ratchakan stars Sushmita Sen, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Girish Karnad, Balasubramaniam S.p., Subhalekha Sudhakar, Chinni Jayanth and Vinodhini. The screenplay is written by Praveen Gandhi. The music was composed by Ar Rahman along with A. R. Rahman. Cinematography was done by Ajayan Vincent and editing by B. Lenin and V. T. Vijayan. The film has a running time of 154 minutes.
