Saadhu is a 2002 Kannada-language Drama film written and directed by P. Vasu and produced by Meera Vidyasagar under the banner of Eashwara Chandra Combines. Saadhu features Arjun in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Raveena Tandon, Thriller Manju, Sathya Prakash, Rami Reddy, Ayyappa and M.s. Karanth. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography was done by M. C. Sekar and editing by P. Mohan Raj. The film has a running time of 130 minutes. It was released on 17th May 1993. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Eashwara Chandra Combines. It was inspired by the Great Locomotive Chase, a true story of an event that occurred during the American Civil War.
