Shortkut is a 2009 Hindi-language movie written by Anees Bazmee and directed by Neeraj Vora and produced by Rajat Rawail, Anil Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda, Rhea Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. After his script is plagiarized, and he is forced to marry, an unemployed movie writer self-destructs. Shortkut stars Akshaye Khanna in the lead role along with Amrita Rao and Arshad Warsi in supporting roles. The music was composed by Shankar-ehsaan-loy. Cinematography was done by Ashok Mehta, Johny Lall and Arvind Soni and editing by Rajiv Gupta. The movie has a running time of 156 minutes. It was released on 10th July 2009. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
