The First Snow of Winter is a 1998 English-language Family Animation movie written by Graham Ralph, Alan Gilbey and David Freedman. The movie is directed by Graham Ralph and produced by Jackie Edwards, Claire Derry, David Hamilton and Theresa Plummer-andrews. The motion picture originally aired on BBC and Disney Channel. Sean is a little duck with a big problem. Due to a mishap with a jet aircraft Sean misses the annual migration South and has to face the winter alone.. The first snow of winter stars Miriam Margolyes in the title role along with Ashley Johnson, Dermot Morgan, Tim Curry, Kate Sachs, Sorcha Cusack, Carol Kane and Neil Mccaul in supporting roles. The music was composed by Tolga Kashif along with The Music Sculptors and Mark Sayer-wade. The movie has a running time of 30 minutes. It was released on 5th November 1999. At the 1999 BAFTA Awards It won an award for Best Animation.
