The House is a 2017 English-language Comedy Crime film written by Brendan O'brien and Andrew Jay Cohen. The movie is directed by Andrew Jay Cohen and produced by Will Ferrell, Adam Mckay, Andrew Jay Cohen, Brendan O'brien, Joseph Drake, Nathan Kahane, Joe Drake and Jessica Elbaum under the banner of New Line Cinema in collaboration with Village Roadshow Pictures, Gary Sanchez Productions and Good Universe. After the town takes away their daughter's college scholarship, a couple start an illegal casino in their friend's house to make back the money. The house features Will Ferrell in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Amy Poehler, Jason Mantzoukas, Nick Kroll, Allison Tolman, Michaela Watkins and Jeremy Renner. The music was composed by Andrew Feltenstein along with John Nau. Cinematography was done by Jas Shelton and editing by Evan Henke and Mike Sale. The movie has a running time of 88 minutes. It was released on 29th June 2017. The House was made on a budget of $40 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Warner Bros. Pictures.
