The White Gorilla is a 1945 English-language Adventure film written and directed by Harry L. Fraser and produced by Louis Weiss, Harry L. Fraser and George M. Merrick. A white gorilla is snubbed by black gorillas because he is the wrong color. Cut off from his tribe he becomes lonely and angry. After troubling hunters and natives, the white gorilla fights the king of the black gorillas while we are told by a narrator that the fate of Africa hangs in the balance. The movie was made by editing some 1947 acting into footage from a 1927 silent serial, Perils of the Jungle, starring Frank Merrill the fifth screen Tarzan. Written by Ed Stephan. The white gorilla stars See Below in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Ray Corrigan, Lorraine Miller, George J. Lewis, Francis Ford, Budd Buster and Charles King. The music was composed by Lee Zahler. Cinematography was done by Robert E. Cline, Bert Longenecker and William C. Thompson and editing by Adrian Weiss. The movie has a running time of 62 minutes. It was released on 12th July 1945.
