Theeram is a 2017 Malayalam-language Drama Romance movie directed by Saheed Arafath and produced by Shiek Afsal. An ordinary man, Ali, makes a living by riding an auto rickshaw in the night. One day, he meets a woman called Suhra and falls in love with her. He tries to woo her in various ways but something from his past crops up, haunting his present. Theeram stars Maria John in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Pranav Ratheesh, Maria Yohannan, Askar Ameer, Tini Tom, Nandhan Unni and Krishna Prabha. The screenplay is written by Prinish Prabhakaran. The music was composed by Afzal Yusuff along with Sankar Sharma. Cinematography was done by Gautham Sankar and editing by Vijay Sankar. It was released on 21st July 2017.
