Unaru is a 1984 Malayalam-language Drama movie written by T. Damodaran and directed by Mani Ratnam and produced by N. G. John under the banner of Geo Movie Production. This is the story of a group of workers who defy their union leaders in order to help a new factory materialize. Unaru stars Sukumaran, Sabitha Anand, Mohanlal Viswanathan, Ratheesh Rajagopal, Balan K. Nair, Unnimary and Vincent. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography was done by Ramachandra Babu and editing by B. Lenin. The film has a running time of 150 minutes.
