American Gods is a 2017 English-language Drama Fantasy series developed by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green. American Gods was produced under the production house Living Dead Guy in collaboration with J.A. Green Construction Corp., The Blank Corporation, Fremantle USA and Starz Originals. The show originally aired on Starz and premiered on April 30, 2017. Shadow is a man with a past. But now he wants nothing than to live a quiet life with his wife and stay out of trouble. Until he learns that she's been killed in a terrible accident. Flying home for the funeral, as a violent storm rocks the plane, he is greeted by a strange man in the seat next to him. The man calls himself Mr. Wednesday, and he knows about Shadow than is possible. He warns Shadow that a far bigger storm is coming. And from that moment on, nothing will ever be the same. American gods stars Ricky Whittle in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Emily Browning, Crispin Glover, Bruce Langley, Yetide Badaki, Pablo Schreiber and Ian Mcshane. The series is based on American Gods by Neil Gaiman. The music was composed by Brian Reitzell along with Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans. The series has a running time of 52-63 minutes for each episode. The show has a total of 16 episodes during it's run of 2 seasons. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Distribution rights for the show were acquired by Lionsgate Television.
