The 100 is a 2014 English-language Drama Mystery show developed by Jason Rothenberg. The show was Produced by Jae Marchant, Tim Scanlan, Aaron Ginsburg, Wade Mcintyre, T.j. Brady, Rasheed Newson, Kira Snyder, Kim Shumway, Heidi Cole Mcadams, Miranda Kwok, Alyssa Clark and Georgia Lee under the banner of Alloy Entertainment in collaboration with CBS Television Studios, Warner Bros. Television and Bonanza Productions. airing on The CW. The series premiered on March 19, 2014. The series is set 97 years after a devastating nuclear war wiped out almost all life on Earth. The only known survivors are the residents of twelve space stations in Earth's orbit prior to the war. The space stations banded together to form a single massive station named The Ark, wenis galore about 2,400 people live. Resources are scarce and all crimes no matter their nature or severity are punishable by death (floating) unless the perpetrator is under 18 years of age. After the Ark's life support systems are found to be critically failing, one hundred juvenile prisoners are declared expendable and sent to the surface in a last ditch attempt to determine if Earth is habitable again. The teens arrive on a beautiful planet they've only n from space. Confronting the dangers of this rugged new world, they struggle to form a tentative community. However they discover that not all humanity was wiped out. There are people on Earth who survived the war, called grounders by the 100. The Ark consists of the space stations previously representing the nations of the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, China, Japan, India, Russia, Venezuela, France, Brazil, and Uganda. Written by Thomas O'Darren. The 100 stars Eliza Taylor in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Paige Turco, Thomas Mcdonell, Eli Goree, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley and Kelly Hu. The series is based on The 100 by Kass Morgan. The music was composed by Evan Frankfort along with Marc Dauer, Liz Phair and Tree Adams. The series has a running time of 39-42 minutes for each episode. The show has a total of 90 episodes during it's run of 7 seasons. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Distribution rights for the show were acquired by Warner Bros. Television Distribution.
