The Daily Show is a 1996 English-language Comedy series developed by Madeleine Smithberg and Lizz Winstead written by See List Of The Daily Show Writers and directed by Paul Pennolino, Other Directors: and Andy Barsh. The Daily Show was produced under the production house Ark Angel in collaboration with Comedy Partners , Other studios:, Busboy Productions and Mad Cow Productions. The series originally aired on Comedy Central and premiered on July 22, 1996. Providing comedy/news in the tradition of TV Nation and SNL's Weekend Update, Comedy Central's Daily Show reports on the foibles and of the real world with a satirical edge. In addition to news stories, the Daily Show also has celebrities (and semi-celebrities) on for interviews with the host, Trevor Noah. Lampooning everything from televangelists to Charlton Heston (I did not play a homo in Ben-Hur), and shamelessly assigning faux-news epithets (Newt Gingrich: Giant Toddler) Kilborn, Winstead, and the crew actually manage to report some real news from time to time. Written by Sam Hayes. The daily show stars See Lists Of The Daily Show Correspondents in the lead role. The music was composed by Bob Mould. The show has a running time of 22-45 min. for each episode. The show has a total of 3436 episodes. Distribution rights for the series were acquired by ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks.
