Narsipatnam (Telugu: ; also called as Narasipattanam) is a census town in Visakhapatnam district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Narsipatnam is located at 1740N 8237E / 17.67N 82.62E / 17.67; 82.62. It has an average elevation of 58metres (190feet). As of 2001 India census, Narsipatnam had a population of 32,483. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Narsipatnam has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 58%.
