BIOGRAPHY

Andrew Clement Serkis professionally known as Andy Serkis made his debut as an actor in the series Morris Minor and His Marvellous Motors (1989). It was in 2001 he gained wider recognition as an actor with the film The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. There was no turning back after that and Serkis at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Saturn Awards for Best Supporting Actor for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Andys career so far are Longford (2006), Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll (2010), The Adventures of Tintin (2011), The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012), The Force Awakens (2015), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), The Last Jedi (2017), Black Panther (2018), Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle (2018), The Rise of Skywalker (2019), and The Lord of the Rings film trilogy (2001–2003) to name a few. Serkis son of Lylie Weech and Clement Serkis was born on 20 April 1964 in Ruislip Manor in Middlesex. He attended St Benedicts School, Ealing. He studied visual arts and theatre as part of his degree at Lancaster University and graduated in 1985.
