Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja professionally known as Dhanush made his debut as a lead actor in the film Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002). It was not until 2007 he got his first major hit with the movie Polladhavan which gave him stardom. There was no turning back after that and Dhanush at present is considered a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Vijay Award for Best Entertainer of the Year for Yaaradi Nee Mohini which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Dhanushs career so far are Polladhavan (2007), Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008), Aadukalam (2010), 3 (2012), Maryan (2013), Raanjhanaa (2013), Velaiilla Pattadhari (2014), Anegan (2015), Maari (2015), Kodi (2016), Vadachennai (2018) and Asuran (2019) to name a few. Dhanush son of director and producer Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi was born on 28 July 1983 in Theni, Tamil Nadu. He completed his schooling at Thai Sathya Matriculation High School. He then pursued his Bachelors degree in Computer Applications (correspondence) from Madurai Kamraj University (Distance Education).
