Adrift is a 2018 English-language Action Adventure motion picture written by David Branson Smith, Jordan Kandell and Aaron Kandell. The movie is directed by Baltasar Kormákur and Baltasar Korm Kur and produced by Ralph Winter, Jordan Kandell, Aaron Kandell, Baltasar Kormákur, Baltasar Korm Kur and Shailene Woodley under the banner of STX Films in collaboration with Lakeshore Entertainment, H. Brothers, Ingenious Media and RVK Studios. Starring Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin, Adrift is based on the inspiring true story of two free spirits whose chance encounter leads them first to love, and then to the adventure of a lifetime. Adrift was made on a budget of $35 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by STX Films.
