Aiyaary is a 2018 Hindi-language Action Crime movie written and directed by Neeraj Pandey and produced by Neeraj Pandey, Shital Bhatia, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, Aksshay Jayantilal Gada and Motion Picture Capital under the banner of Motion Picture Capital in collaboration with Friday Filmworks, Pen India Limited and Plan C Studios. Inspired by the Adarsh Housing society scam, the film's narrative centers around the relation between a colonel and his protege that gets affected when the latter becomes disillusioned upon overhearing a conversation and goes rogue with sensitive data related to his covert organization, prompting the colonel to race against time and hunt him down. Aiyaary stars Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Manoj Bajpayee, Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Chopra, Adil Hussain, Kumud Mishra and Naseeruddin Shah. The motion picture is based on Adarsh Housing Society scam. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Amal Mallik along with Ram Sampath, Salim Merchant, Sulaiman Merchant, Sanjoy Chowdhury, Rochak Kohli and Ankit Tiwari. Cinematography was done by Sudheer Palsane and editing by Praveen Kathikuloth. The film has a running time of 160 minutes. It was released on 15th February 2018. Aiyaary was made on a budget of ₹57 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹17 crore. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Reliance Entertainment.
