Annamalai is a 1992 Tamil-language Drama Action movie written by Suresh Krissna and Shanmugam Sundaram. The movie is directed by Suresh Krissna and produced by Rajam Balachander and Puspha Kandasamy under the banner of Kavithalayaa Productions. The film revolves around Annaamalai, a poor milkman, and Ashok, a wealthy hotelier, who have been friends since childhood, a friendship opposed by Ashok's father who attempts to create a rift between the two. Annamalai features Rajinikanth in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Khushbu, Sarath Babu, Kushboo, Radha Ravi, Janagaraj and Vinuchakravarthy. The screenplay is written by Suresh Krissna and Shanmugasundaram which is inspired from Khudgarz by Rakesh Roshan. The music was composed by Deva. Cinematography was done by P. S. Prakash and editing by Ganesh Kumar. The film has a running time of 164 minutes. It was released on 25th April 1992.
