Bama Vijam is a 1967 Tamil-language Comedy film written by M.s. Viswanathan and directed by K. Balachander and produced by M. S. Kasi under the banner of Manohar Pictures. The story revolves around an urban South Indian joint family composed of brothers, their wives and children and parent/s. It is the ideal household with every one getting along well until a glamorous actress moves in next door. Bama vijam features Balaiya in the title role along with Showkar Janaki, R. Muthuraman, Jai Ganesh, T Rajashree, Sreekanth and Major Sundarrajan in supporting roles. The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan.
