Children Who Chase Lost Voices is a 2011 Japanese-language Animation Adventure film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai and produced by Toshiaki D Shita, K Ichir It, Atsushi Iwasaki and Tomohiro Ogawa under the banner of CoMix Wave Films. A coming of age story involving young love and a mysterious music, coming from a crystal radio left as a memento by an absent father, that leads a young heroine deep into a hidden world. Children who chase lost voices stars Hisako Kanemoto, Kazuhiko Inoue, Miyu Irino, Hilary Haag, Corey Hartzog, Leraldo Anzaldua and Tamio Ôki. The music was composed by Tenmon. Cinematography was done by Makoto Shinkai and editing by Aya Hida and Makoto Shinkai. The movie has a running time of 116 minutes. It was released on 7th May 2011. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Media Factory.
