Damaad is a 1978 Hindi-language Comedy Drama movie written by Laxmi Pandey and Rajat Rakshit. The movie is directed by Rajat Rakshit and produced by Pari A V Mohan and Anand Bhosle. Sharad belongs to a middle-class family and lives with his brother and sister-in-law. Sharad gets a job in Malavli in which he is not interested.. Damaad stars Amol Palekar in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Ranjeeta Kaur, Ashok Saraf, Shreeram Lagoo, Tarla Mehta, Pinchoo Kapoor and Dina Pathak. The music was composed by Hemant Bhosle. It was released on 15th June 1978.
