The Drowning is a 2017 English-language Drama Thriller film written by Stephen Molton, Frank Pugliese, Pat Barker and Pasquale Marco Veltri. The movie is directed by Bette Gordon and Pasquale Marco Veltri and produced by Jamin O'brien, Daniel L. Blanc and Radium Cheung under the banner of The Film Community. A psychiatrist faces his past, present and future when he finds himself involved in the treatment of a young man recently released from prison for a murder committed when the boy was just 11 years old. The drowning stars Josh Charles in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Julia Stiles, Avan Jogia, Laura Tremblay, Alys Crocker, Pardeep Bassi and Corey Wadden. The screenplay is written by Stephen Molton and Frank Pugliese which is inspired from Border Crossing by Pat Barker. The music was composed by Anton Sanko. Cinematography was done by Radium Cheung and editing by John David Allen. The motion picture has a running time of 95 minutes. It was released on 10th May 2017. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Paladin.
