Drunken Master is a 1978 Cantonese-language Action Comedy movie written by Lung Hsiao, See-yuen Ng, Siao Lung and Ng See-yuen. The movie is directed by Woo-ping Yuen and Yuen Woo-ping and produced by Ng See-yuen. Wong Fei-Hung (Jackie Chan) is a mischievous, yet righteous young man, but after a series of incidents, his frustrated father has him disciplined by Beggar So (Yuen Siu-Tien), a master of drunken martial arts. Drunken master stars Jackie Chan in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Yuen Siu-tien, Hwang Jang-lee, Dean Shek, Siu Tin Yuen, Jang Lee Hwang and Kau Lam. The music was composed by Chow Fu-liang. Cinematography was done by Chang Hui and editing by Pan Hsiung. The movie has a running time of 110 minutes. It was released on 5th October 1978. The motion picture made a box office gross of $15 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Seasonal Film Corporation.
