Big Fish is a 2003 English-language Adventure Drama motion picture written by Daniel Wallace and John August. The movie is directed by Tim Burton and produced by Bruce Cohen, Richard D. Zanuck and Dan Jinks under the banner of Columbia Pictures in collaboration with Jinks/Cohen Company and The Zanuck Company. A frustrated son tries to determine the fact from fiction in his dying father's life. Big fish features Ewan Mcgregor in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Albert Finney, Billy Crudup, Jessica Lange, Helena Bonham Carter, Alison Lohman and Robert Guillaume. The screenplay is written by John August which is inspired from Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions by Daniel Wallace. The music was composed by Danny Elfman.
