Ek Din Achanak is a 1989 Hindi-language Drama motion picture written by Ramapada Chowdhury, Mrinal Sen and Jyotishka Dasgupta. The movie is directed by Mrinal Sen. One day a retired professor (Dr. Sreeram Lagoo) decides to go out for unknown work but don't come back, even there is no clue left behind. Family members, relatives and friends try hard but unable to come up with any satisfactory result. Ek din achanak features Shriram Lagoo in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Shabana Azmi, Anil Chatterjee, Aparna Sen, Roopa Ganguly, Shreeram Lagoo and Uttara Baokar. The music was composed by Jyotishka Dasgupta. Cinematography was done by K. K. Mahajan. The motion picture has a running time of 105 minutes. It was released on 30th December 2018.
