Eye of the Needle is a 1981 English-language Romance Thriller motion picture directed by Richard Marquand and produced by Stephen J. Friedman under the banner of Kings Road Entertainment. Eye of the needle stars Donald Sutherland in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Kate Nelligan, Ian Bannen, Christopher Cazenove, Stephen Mackenna, Philip Martin Brown and George Belbin. The screenplay is written by Stanley Mann which is inspired from Eye of the Needle 1978 novel by Ken Follett. The music was composed by Mikl S R Zsa. Cinematography was done by Alan Hume and editing by Sean Barton. The motion picture has a running time of 112 minutes. It was released on 24th July 1981.
