Friendship is a 1971 Urdu-language motion picture written by Honey Irani and Javed Siddiqui. The movie is directed by Sharif Nayyar and Yash Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Friendship stars Sunny Deol in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Juhi Chawla, Shah Rukh Khan, Anupam Kher, Tanvi Azmi, Abdul Karim Baloch and Tani Begum. The music was composed by Shiv-hari. Cinematography was done by Manmohan Singh and editing by Keshav Naidu. The film has a running time of 177 minutes. It was released on 7th February 1971. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Yash Raj Films.
