Goa is a 2010 Tamil-language Comedy Romantic Comedy movie written by Venkat Prabhu, Soundarya R. Ashwin, G. Kartik and Ravi Kumar. The movie is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth under the banner of Ocher Studios. The film follows the journey of three young men, Ramarajan, Vinayagam and Saamikannu, who flee from their remote, conservative village to escape their overly strict families and travel to the international tourist-destination Goa. Goa features Jai in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Premji, Aravind Akash, Sampath Raj, Piaa Bajpai, Premgi Amaren and Vaibhav Reddy. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematography was done by Sakthi Saravanan and editing by Praveen K. L. and N. B. Srikanth. The movie has a running time of 164 minutes. It was released on 29th January 2010. Goa was made on a budget of ₹65 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹70 crore. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Warner Bros. Pictures.
