Guru Sishyaru is a 1981 Kannada-language Comedy film written by Chi. Udaya Shankar and directed by Hr Bhargava and H. R. Bhargava and produced by Dwarakish under the banner of Dwarakish Chitra. Guru sishyaru features Jayamalini in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Manjula, Hema Choudhary, Srinivasa Murthy, Balakrishna, B.s. Dwarakish and Musari Krishnamurthy. The film is based on Remake of Paramanandayya Sishyula Katha. The music was composed by K. V. Mahadevan. Cinematography was done by D. V. Rajaram and editing by Yadav Victor. The motion picture has a running time of 148 minutes. It was released on 20th August 1981.
