Hell Harbor is a 1930 English-language Drama Romance film directed by Henry King and produced by Henry King under the banner of Inspiration Pictures. Anita Morgan, a descendant of the famous pirate Henry Morgan, is living a carefree and careless life on an island in the Carribean, but had much rather be living the same life In Havana. When she learns that her father, in exchange for money, has promised her hand in marriage to one of his swarthy friends, she is convinced that Havana is the place to be. When an American comes to the island to buy some pearls, she falls in love with him. and when she discovers he is to be tricked out of his money and killed, she makes plans to save him..and go to Havana with him. Written by Les Adams. Hell harbor stars Lupe V Lez in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Jean Hersholt, John Holland, Gibson Gowland, Harry Allen, Al St. John and Lupe Velez. The screenplay is written by Fred de Gresac, Clarke Silvernail and Brewster Morse which is inspired from Out of the Night by Rida Johnson Young. The music was composed by Harvey Allen along with Gene Berten, Sextetto Habanero and Ernesto Lecuona. Cinematography was done by John P. Fulton, Robert M. Haas and Mack Stengler and editing by Lloyd Nosler. The movie has a running time of 93 minutes. It was released on 15th March 1930. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by United Artists.
