Holiday is a 2014 Hindi-language Action Adventure movie written and directed by A.r. Murugadoss and A. R. Murugadoss and produced by Aruna Bhatia and Twinkle Khanna under the banner of Hari Om Entertainment in collaboration with Sunshine Pictures. A military officer attempts to hunt down a terrorist, destroy a terrorist gang and deactivate the sleeper cells under its command. Holiday features Akshay Kumar in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Sonakshi Sinha, Sumeet Raghavan, Freddy Daruwala, Sumeet Raghvan, Zakir Hussain and Govinda. The movie is based on Thuppakki by A. R. Murugadoss. The music was composed by Pritam along with Prasad Sashte. Cinematography was done by Natarajan Subramaniam and editing by Amitabh Shukla. The movie has a running time of 170 minutes. It was released on 5th June 2014. Holiday was made on a budget of ₹3 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹79 lakh. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Reliance Entertainment.
