Hulchul is a 1971 Hindi-language Adventure Comedy movie written by C.j. Pavri and O. P. Ralhan. The movie is directed by O. P. Ralhan and produced by O. P. Ralhan. Peter (O.P. Ralhan) overhears a conversation between a man and a woman, plotting to kill the wife of a Mahesh Jetley. Being a very sincere, diligent and a concerned citizen, Peter sets out to try and warn Mrs. Jetley of the apparent threat to her life. After overcoming a number of obstacles, including convincing his prospective mother-in-law, Philomena D'Costa (Tun Tun) that he is not possessed by a demon, he discovers that not one but several Mr. Jetleys have a number of motives for killing their respective wives. Will Peter uncover the real Mr. Jetley who he overheard or will he uncover a number of dead Mrs. Jetleys? Written by rAjOo (gunwanti@hotmail.com). Hulchul features O. P. Ralhan in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Prem Chopra, Helen And Madan Puri, O.p. Ralhan, Madan Puri, Gajanan Jagirdar and Ramesh Deo. The music was composed by Rahul Dev Burman along with R.d. Burman. Cinematography was done by Rajendra Malone and editing by Vasant Borkar. It was released on 1st January 1971. Hulchul was made on a budget of ₹4 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹5 crore.
