I, Daniel Blake is a 2016 English-language Drama film written by Paul Laverty and directed by Ken Loach and produced by Rebecca O'brien. After having suffered a heart-attack, a 59-year-old carpenter must fight the bureaucratic forces of the system in order to receive Employment and Support Allowance. I, daniel blake features Dave Johns in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Hayley Squires, Briana Shann, Dylan Mckiernan, Kate Rutter, Sharon Percy and Kema Sikazwe.
