Intermezzo: A Love Story is a 1939 English-language Drama Romance motion picture directed by Gregory Ratoff and produced by David O. Selznick under the banner of Selznick International Pictures. A concert violinist becomes charmed with his daughter's talented piano teacher. When he invites her to go on tour with him, they make beautiful music away from the concert hall as well. He soon leaves his wife so the two can go off together. Written by Daniel Bubbeo. Intermezzo: a love story stars Leslie Howard, Ingrid Bergman, Edna Best, John Halliday, Cecil Kellaway, Enid Bennett and Frankie Ward. The screenplay is written by George O'Neil. The music was composed by Max Steiner along with Heinz Provost. Cinematography was done by Gregg Toland and Harry Stradling Sr. and editing by Francis D. Lyon.
