Iru Thuruvam is a 1971 Tamil-language Drama Family film written by M. K. Ramu and directed by S. Ramanathan and produced by P. S. Veerappa under the banner of P. S. V. Pictures. Iru thuruvam features Sivaji Ganesan in the lead role along with R. Muthuraman, Rajasree, Shivaji Ganesan, Chittor V. Nagaiah, Padmini Ramachandran and Pandari Bai in supporting roles. The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan. Cinematography was done by A. Vincent and editing by A. Paul Duraisingam. It was released on 4th February 1971. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Jose Films.
