Kothanodi is a 2015 Assamese-language Fantasy Drama motion picture written by Bhaskar Hazarika, Arupa Patangia Kalita and Dr. Arupa Patangia Kalita. The movie is directed by Bhaskar Hazarika and produced by Anurupa Hazarika and Crowdfunders under the banner of Metanormal Motion Pictures. Four folk tales from Assam re-imagined as a narrative about four mothers, each facing demons of her own. Kothanodi stars Seema Biswas, Adil Hussain, Zerifa Wahid, Asha Bordoloi, Pradhan Dewri, Urmila Mahanta and Kasvi Sarma. The film is based on Traditional indigenous Assamese Folk tales. The music was composed by Amarnath Hazarika. Cinematography was done by Vijay Kutty and editing by Suresh Pai. The movie has a running time of 115 minutes. It was released on 1st November 2015.
