Kurukshetra is a 2000 Hindi-language Action Drama film written by Ravi Shankar Jaiswal, Mahesh Manjrekar and K.k. Singh. The movie is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by Pravin Shah. An honest police officer's life turns upside down when he arrests the Chief Minister's son and the former wows to destroy him at any cost. Kurukshetra features Sanjay Dutt in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Mahima Chaudhry, Om Puri, Mukesh Rishi, Shivaji Satam, Mahima Choudhary and Sayaji Shinde. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Himesh Reshammiya along with Sukhwinder Singh and Amar Haldipur. It was released on 10th November 2000. Kurukshetra was made on a budget of ₹8 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹11 crore.
