Life Is Beautiful is a 1997 Italian-language Comedy Drama movie written by Vincenzo Cerami and Roberto Benigni. The movie is directed by Roberto Benigni and produced by Gianluigi Braschi and Elda Ferri under the banner of Melampo Cinematografica. When an open-minded Jewish librarian and his son become victims of the Holocaust, he uses a perfect mixture of will, humor and imagination to protect his son from the dangers around their camp. Life is beautiful features Roberto Benigni, Nicoletta Braschi, Giorgio Cantarini, Giustino Durano, Sergio Bini Bustric, Marisa Paredes and Davide Borella. The music was composed by Nicola Piovani. Cinematography was done by Tonino Delli Colli and editing by Simona Paggi. The film has a running time of 116 minutes. Life Is Beautiful was made on a budget of ₹2 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹6 lakh. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Cecchi Gori Group.
