Maathu Thappadha Maga is a 1978 Kannada-language Action Drama movie written and directed by Peketi Sivaram and produced by R .bhagawan, K. R. Balani and S. Thyagarajan under the banner of Bharatha Cine Arts. Maathu thappadha maga features Anant Nag in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Aarathi Chandrashekar, Balkrishna, Udaya Kumar, Leelavathi and Sharada Devi. The screenplay is written by Peketi Sivaram. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography was done by J. Sathyanarayana and editing by Kotagiri Gopala Rao. The movie has a running time of 138 minutes. It was released on 11th February 1978.
