Magudam is a 1992 Tamil-language motion picture written by Aachi Manorama, Shanmuga Priyan and Prathap K. Pothan. The movie is directed by Prathap K Pothan and Prathap K. Pothan and produced by K. Balu under the banner of K. B. Films. Despite his possessive grandmother's efforts, Muthuvel falls in love with a medical student. He encourages the girl in achieving her goal towards becoming a doctor and also helps her deal with a goon. Magudam stars Sathyaraj in the lead role along with Bhanupriya, Gauthami, Goundamani, Gowthami and Aachi Manorama in supporting roles. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography was done by Ashok Kumar and editing by B. Lenin and V. T. Vijayan. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by K. B. Films.
