My Girl is a 1991 English-language Comedy Drama film written by Laurice Elehwany and directed by Howard Zieff and produced by Brian Grazer under the banner of Imagine Entertainment. A young girl, on the threshold of her teen years, finds her life turning upside down, when she is accompanied by an unlikely friend. My girl stars Dan Aykroyd in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Jamie Lee Curtis, Macaulay Culkin, Anna Chlumsky, Griffin Dunne, Richard Masur and Ann Nelson. The music was composed by James Newton Howard. Cinematography was done by Paul Elliott and editing by Wendy Greene Bricmont. The movie has a running time of 102 minutes. It was released on 27th November 1991. My Girl was made on a budget of $17 million and at the box office it grossed only $3 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Columbia Pictures.
