Nellu is a 1974 Malayalam-language Drama Romance motion picture written by Ramu Kariat, K.g. George, S.l. Puram Sadanandan and P. Valsala. The movie is directed by Ramu Kariat and produced by N. P. Ali under the banner of Jammu Films International. Nellu stars Prem Nazir in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Mohan, Jayabharathi Nair, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Kanakadurga, Thikkurisi Sukumaran Nair and Kottarakkara Sridharan Nair. The screenplay is written by Ramu Kariat and K. G. George which is inspired from Nellu by P. Valsala. The music was composed by Salil Choudhury along with Salil Chowdhury. Cinematography was done by Balu Mahendra and editing by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Appu. It was released on 1st January 1974. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Jammu Pictures Circuit Release.
