Notes On a Scandal is a 2006 English-language Crime Drama motion picture written by Patrick Marber and Zoe Heller. The movie is directed by Richard Eyre and produced by Robert Fox and Scott Rudin. A veteran high school teacher befriends a younger art teacher, who is having an affair with one of her 15-year-old students. However, her intentions with this new friend also go well beyond platonic friendship. Notes on a scandal features Judi Dench in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Cate Blanchett, Tom Georgeson, Michael Maloney, Joanna Scanlan, Shaun Parkes and Emma Kennedy.
