Proud is a 2004 English-language Drama film written and directed by Mary Pat Kelly and produced by Ally Hilfiger under the banner of THEntertainment. The true story of one of only two U.S. Navy ships that saw combat in World War II with African-American crews. Proud features Ossie Davis in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Stephen Rea, Aidan Quinn, Reggie Austin, Vernel Bagneris, Marcus Chait and Michael Ciesla. The music was composed by Tasso Zapanti. Cinematography was done by Thom Marini and editing by David Kausch and H. Spencer Young. The motion picture has a running time of 87 minutes. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Castle Hill Productions.
